We understand that venturing into the unknown and immense Amazon Rainforest can be a daunting task. But what should you bring ? And what can you bring without bringing too much or too little? Because in this case less can be more. Therefore, here is a list of what we recommend that you bring with you on our trips.
Sunscreen / Mosquito Repellant + Hat / Buff - The two toughest elements of any survival trip. It is very important you come prepared to protect yourself from the sun and the insects. We recommend bringing sunscreen (no more than 30 is fine) also bug repellant for the deep bush. Thankfully the bugs in our part of the rainforest are bearable relative to other areas however we still recommend that you bring repellant and use it as you desire. The sun however is relentless and it is important to protect yourself with sunscreen. A buff is very helpful and can protect you from the sun and insects as well.
Sun Resistant Clothing - Sunscreen will not provide enough protection- it is important that you bring the proper clothing, We recommend SPF resistant clothing; Brands like Colombia or Mountain Equipment Coop even Sail are all highly recomemmended and will help you with the elements.
Water Bottle - Always good to carry a water bottle since it gets very hot and humid in the Amazon and it is imperative that you stay hydrated.
Soap, and Environmentally Friendly Shampoo: You will be showering while in the wilderness. If you choose to bring soap and shampoo we highly encorage environmentally friendly products.
